I am a teacher; Secondary PGCE in Religious Studies, I taught in mainstream Secondary schools for 5 years teaching Philosophy, Religious Studies and Ethics, and I have been teaching in special education for the past 10 years.
From 2013-2016 I held the position of Strategic Leader responsible for setting up and running a new 6th Form in the city centre for students with SEND. I still work two days a week as a schoolteacher.
I hold Specialist Leader in Education (SLE) status in SEND through the Derby Teaching School Alliance, training teachers about SEND. I organise and facilitate network meetings for SENDCos across the city. Coaching and supporting teachers is also part of my role.
I deliver training in Autism Awareness and Good Practice in Autism as a trainer for the Autism Education Trust and also will be running workshops and training for businesses and organisations that will be working with Adults on the Autism Spectrum.
As a Reiki practitioner and Yoga Student teacher, I have a special interest in exploring the Chakras. Most of my treatments will have a focus on the Chakras and will involve a diagnostic of your current state of your Chakras and an element of chakra coaching to see how you can continue to be balanced after the treatments.
As a holistic therapist, I am trained in complementary therapies and in qualified in Ayurvedic foot massage through the London Centre of Indian Champissage™.
I am a student Dru Yoga teacher, and I have a class in Derby City Centre and I’m hoping to have a class at the Elephant Rooms in the New Year. I am also planning to run some meditation and mindfulness workshops in the spring.
